To commemorate this fact, AuraQuake Music is happily releasing Portuguese Abduction , the fourth album from Nikita, now an Azores Islands resident. Packed with next generation sounds, unexpected passages and his trademark sampling, this release is a wicked pentadelic circus carousel that takes you on a wild journey through night and day. From deep and dark No More Evil to the funky and unpredictable BBQ to the vocal and full-on Neo Cheesy this album is for everyone. Etichetta: AuraQuake Records AQCD005. Formato: CD, Album. Paese: US. A shame, because I loved all Of Penta's previous albums, and on 'Portuguese Abduction' over that irritatingly relentless bassline sits the wacky and innovative work that Penta are known for - those trippy, unpredictable samples are at their best and most bizarre here. Anyway, I give this a 35 - those who love dark full-on psy should get a kick out of this, but those like me looking for something a little less drilling-in-your-ears and a little more proggy will probably want to throw something at the stereo halfway through the second track. This could have been another great album from Penta, and if you like the full-on style rolling bassline, you will probably think it is. As for me, that full-on bassline just does my head in - and on this album its the same one on every...single...track.
