This sleeve has a "見本盤" sticker on it, but the vinyl may have been distributed as a promo with the same thing as the regular. I think they are mixed. What do you think?

I recently discovered this, and was instantly blown away. I came from Hiroshi Yoshimura. Its to a heavenly surprise this is being repressed. This is amazing.
Fantastic, timeless release that definitely lives up to the superlative rating that has been bestowed upon it. Deep, dark, moody, subtle, almost "droney" in parts with excellent accompanying percussion. Perfect for a quiet, meditative rainy Sunday morning.
The latest pressing from 12th mai is perfect.....have to be lucky....
Seems like cd is the best option - maybe ill buy I crackly 33rpm if I see if cheap - just to get that cover artwork (which is stunning)Regardless of format - a welcome reissue to be treasured.
original is original! must have
The CD reissue is very dynamic and conservatively mastered, if anyone cares. Glad I didn't go for the vinyl as I would've been frustrated had I received an off center LP or a record with non-fill.
Pre-orders are up now from both the labels releasing this. These labels make plenty so no need to worry. http://paltoflats.com/release/midori-takada-through-the-looking-glass/http://wrwtfww.com/merch
Thanks for the update, that's been very good news indeed - especially cos I see she'll be doing something in Glasgow where I live!
Reissue 2017 and a tourHer deep quests into traditional African and Asian percussive language are captured on a series of now highly sought after albums including her masterpiece Through The Looking Glass (1981/RCA) and her collaboration with Masahiko Satoh Lunar Cruise (1990/Epic-Sony), both of which will be reissued on Swiss label WRWTFWW in 2017.To coincide with the reissues, Midori will be touring her solo percussion performances to festivals and concert spaces around Europe.
its not been reissued yet boi ...... .. .. ..
For anyone wondering about the source of this info, here's the link:http://qujunktions.com/artists/midori-takada
this label reissues only limited and vinyl editions. I don't think it is good news
yeah, been waiting all year for the repress. i guess we'd better accept that it may not be happening now..?
Juno records UK apparently have a reissue coming up sometime in the next couple of months I think
Any news on the repress? I can find nothing online, except for the testpressing.org site, who claim to be working on the test pressing.
Juno records UK may be releasing a reissue early this year, next couple of months or so
Incredible release so I'm glad it's getting a much needed repress. Anyone know who drew the artwork? Would love a print of it.
Cannot remember the artists name, however same artist created artwork for dorothy ashby's django LP and also another solo harp album of classical flamenco, I remember i came accross her after 5 mins research
Neto91 Why did you rate it one star? Doesn't make any sense.
It's a piece called 「残されたアリウス」, "Arius who got left behind, by 落田洋子, Yoko Ochida. This piece is also on the cover of one of her books, 「風の祝祭」 or "The Wind Festival". Feel free to look it up. :)
The answer to your question is within this page :)
Hopefully the reissue will be arriving soon! . . .
$900 ? I can maybe understand if someone had M/M or maybe NM/NM listing it at that with a view to negotiating.but, to the dude that has it listed as VG+/VG+...get real idiot, are you waiting for a lottery winner to whom money is no object who in the slim chance is after a Midori Takada LP ? ain't gonna happen sunshine. certainly not before the reissue drops. keep it listed at that price by all means - no one is going to buy it, but hey I'm sure it looks good on your 'wall'. still there, will be next time I check in, and the time after...and after that...ad infinitum.
For all who are interested in this record, I contacted someone at "testpressing.org" and they confirmed with me that a repress is indeed underway. They wrote to me:"A legit reissue is definitely on the way.All the best,Rob"Here is the blogpost that mentions a repress:http://testpressing.org/feature/lone-star-productions-july-2016/
That's weird, i contacted them few weeks ago and didn't get any answers from them. But if they do a reissue, that's a good thing for all of you ! :)
Jesus H Christ, $900 listed! Vinyl gougers truly doing god's work with this one.
Considering the steady growth of people looking for a copy... (note : the last one sold for a complete bargain)
will buy the reissue. As is, been listening to it on youtube. Someone tell me, does the actual recording end abruptly at 40:46 as well?
To answer my question, yes. Yes it does. Have my RE and enjoying it now.
Apparently the reissue is coming via a "Swiss Label" according to, ummmm, the buzz. Excited.
Could you give me details of the reissue? Thank you.
where did you hear this btw? i cant find anything about a repress.
Please elaborate ! Do you have a source or is this still a conspiracy?
what label please ???? you dont know the name ?? thanks
anyone with a copy willing to sell out there ? or else someone get this re-issued please...
Amazing record ! Anyone know about reissue ? I want reissue of this...
I am severely doubting there is any reissue planned for this one considering my google skills didn't yield any results...I wish i could be wrong tho.Any hint about the label yet ? (i can't really see which label could/would reissue this)

Settling for the horrible compression of the youtube link is a sin the reissue needs to happen!!
I would love to know this as well. The album is amazing and really deserves a reissue.
I've had to pleasure to take a good listen from a lossy source, this album is a wonderful arrange of nostalgia, space, and curiosity, I can't help but to feel in trance at the thought of a childhood that I rarely remember, so warm and empty. A very interesting sonic and spiritual experience. If you find a source to have a listen, don't hesitate. And if you are lucky to find a physical copy, don't think twice.
