A sexy and sultry release, each side complementing each other
I'm still in love with "$tripper". Also "A Man's Best Friend" is a huge tune.
B1 samples Bette Davis. what a tune!
A repress would be great! =)
Does anybody know who is the artist on the B side?
Original is Betty Davis - She's a Woman :)
In this case high price is not high quality...try Fore rec.
Yes it is.
Is it a label?
Gregg Fore (Fore label). Enjoy!
Try what? Fore rec?
I understand it's frustrating seeing high prices on discogs, but to be fair this record was available for the best part of a month. It was a hard one to miss too. If you missed it then stop whining and try not to make the same mistake again (we all regret those ones we missed). Anyway, smashing record, always works so well and great fun to mix

It does have that early 90 sound to it. That's what people like I guess. What are those other records that came out in the 90s you are thinking of that we should buy instead ? I will buy them if your recomdations are any good....

Considering that in one of your other posts you describe all of moodymann's productions as 'boring', your cynical comments should be read with caution. I don't think that dance music has ever been about buying timeless records. It's always been about playing what you feel right now. Many people buying this weren't even alive 20 years ago - so it's fresh to their ears. Leave the timeless comments to those who endlessly drone on about the Beatles as if no other band existed. The price tag has nothing to do with the music and the two should not be confused.
Amen
Great record. 134 want it, sold out everywhere. (Lack of) supply and demand. A repress would sort it all out!
Highest price in the sales history as of august 2012: £7.452 for sale from €43I mean, I sell some expensive records on here, but that is fucking ridiculous
and we're really only talking about 1 bicep track here.... that is a lot of money.
Did you buy this record in 1966? No? Well, nice comeback then
If you bought a house for £30,000 in 1966 would you sell it for £30,000 now? NO? then pipe the fuck down!
I bought it when I came out, what I don't want to do is sell it on discogs at a massively inflated price like a total dick
Sorry, that came out overly antagonistic, it's just stuff like this drives me a bit mental. I wasn't trying to have an argument either, just some sort of debate I guess...
If you don't want to buy it, don't buy it.
Ah look, I hate these inflation sellers as much as the next person. I wasn't trying to defend them. Maybe my post was a little pointless, I wasn't looking to start an argument or anything.
well it's good to know there's always people out there to pay those inflated prices on here then eh?Of what benefit is your reply other than pointing out that my original post (which I dated and everything) is slightly out of date. I'm talking about the discrepancy between what something had sold for previously, compared to what someone had then arbitrarily jacked the price up to
The last 2 copies sold were for €35 and €30 respectively.
Bicep - $tripper.. A raw Jersey tinged house track in similar vein if you like MLIU stuff. The B-side is a very drugged down disco in low BPM.
