Parallax is the third studio album from Bradford Cox's solo project Atlas Sound, released November 7, 2011 on 4AD. The album debuted at 97 on the Billboard 200 and has received critical acclaim. After Parallax was recorded, Bradford Cox was forced to continue touring with Deerhunter, which ended up being so stressful for Cox that it caused him to have a nervous breakdown. Cox related album's title to his lifestyle, saying. Текст песни: He gave me pain Gave me bruises After the first time The muscle loosens. Album 2011 12 Songs. If Bradford Coxs first two albums under his Atlas Sound moniker are intimate patchworks of ambient bedroom pop, Parallax is where he fully emerges into the spotlight. Full-blown folk-rockers like Mona Lisa stand beside Technicolor art-pop masterpieces like Te Amo and Terra Incognita, rivaling his best work in Deerhunter and bridging his experimental and accessible sides with beautiful harmony. This album features one of indie rocks most beloved voices coming into his own without losing his unique sense of grace. Parallax Atlas Sound. Songs in album Atlas Sound - Parallax 2011. Cox still sounds small, alone, and cut adrift from the world on Parallax, but the way its songs breathe suggests he's more comfortable in his own skin, allowing him to draw his audience closer than ever. The third Atlas Sound record is a more complete work than any of Bradford Cox's earlier solo ventures. Parallax, the visual phenomenon that affects the perception of objects relative positions depending on the viewers distance from them, couldnt be a more apt namesake for Bradford Cox's third officially released Atlas Sound album. Cox plays with distance, motion, and emotion on this set of songs, oscillating between the sparkling pop he does so well with this project as well as Deerhunter and the hazy experiments that are all Atlas Sound. Unlike previous Atlas Sound album covers, Parallaxs cover did not feature faces obscured by a lens flare. By not covering his face with a flare, Cox felt that the album cover effectively conveyed the loneliness he experienced creating the album. Parallax Q&A. Featuring Andrew VanWyngarden.
