GRIZZLY SET THE PACE AS FRENCH PRODIGY JAY WEED RELEASES 'ON THE NILE'.

Resistant to any limiting genre tags, Grizzly is all about the grey area sounds – intriguing music that you cant quite put your finger on.  Jay Weed's 'On The Nile' sits happily with that mission statement.  Lyon born Jay Weed is fresh, raw talent, supported by Oneman and Mosca, with a unique sound influenced by the UK grime, dubstep and funky scenes.

SINDEN SAYS:

"I caught wind of Jay's stuff a year ago through Douster (who weighs in with a really cool egyptian banger on this EP.) Impressed, we locked the release.

Leading track, 'On The Nile', operates on a grey area bass music tip that its really stripped back, funky and evocative.  I love Egyptian synth melodies in the breakdown, reminding me of old Amstrad computer game, Oh Mummy, or Egyptian lover meets the Cyber Pharaohs as Douster once said.  I've had so many people ask me about this when I've played it out.  The track really is one of a kind, a real original – perfect Grizzly material.

'City Staccs' is a great fit as the second track and much like 'On The Nile', really hard to place.  It's just a rhythmical, but more stoned (weeded?) subtle with plenty low end.  I love both of these.  Jay's definitely a producer with his own sound!"
